Drink 'DATORADE', not Gatorade.
It's Healthy, Yummy, and it'll give you tons of energy to get through even the hardest match/comp/workout. A very simple recipe: Water, dates. BOOM! Done.
High Carb, Baby! :-)
PS regarding the essential oil of peppermint: I use between 2 and 3 drops, that's plenty! Cinnamon is to taste. Datorade is quite awesome all on it's own, meaning without any cinnamon or other flavorings added. This here is just my favorite version. Hint: U can also ad essential oil of orange together with the peppermint....SICK! :-D In that case I'd add 2 peppermint and just one orange. Tastes like candy!
You can add a scoop of protein where desired...
