Our Spring ROADTRIP in France by Motorhome Ep 2

Описание: Visit Le Crotoy & Honfleur with us, as we show you to great Aires

So after arriving in Calais, we drove straight to our 1st stop Le Crotoy in Normandy, about 1 hr 45 mins, was a scenic journey as we decided to not take the toll road for a change.

We found the Aire (Aire de camping car ) easy enough and they had plenty of space this was about 2pm - which was good. This is well placed for a walk into the village, we took in the delightful views of the tourist shops and cafes/bars, found the beach and church, then had a still back the main street had a beer and watched the world go by. Later we went back for our evening meal, which was delicious. The main dish seemed to be Mussels as nearly everyone was eating them.

After a good nights sleep we set off to Honfleur, its about 2 - 2 1/2 hours drive away so we decided to take the toll road. Nearer to Honfleur we had to drive over the enormous Bridge of Normandie which is 6% steep and offers stunning views, you can walk over it too.

The main Aire (Aire camping-cars) is in the centre of Honfleur, luckily we found a space, as it was very busy both days we were there.

The harbour area is stunning, and the quaint streets with the old buildings/ churches and museums are amazing to look at. It was buzzing with activity with the shops selling gifts, food and clothes.
