Our next destination was Port de Plaisance In Roune, this was on park for actually staying at the harbour with the yachts and boats, after tackling the road works and being diverted all over, we finally managed to get to the place only to find it was full. So to the drawing board for a plan B, luckily we had something in mind and it was to head for the coast and Dieppe.

We found a campsite called Camping Vitamin, located at the entrance to Dieppe.

Nice campsite with plenty of activities for children, also had a bar & restaurant. A supermarket 5 minutes walk, and bus stop into Dieppe. We spent 2 nights here to relax and prepare ourselves for the return trip to England.

Dieppe is a nice seaside town with independent shops and cafes, churches, a castle and a pebbly beach. It also had a land train to take you around and explain the history of the town.

After some R & R we moved onto our final stop of our road trip and this was Le Portal just outside Boulogne-Sur-Mer. Only 35 mins drive from Calais, Aire camping-car du Portal, (16 Rue des Champs, 62480) the barrier was up so free parking for the night. We took a walk over the sand dunes and onto the beach and strolled to the little town, there are a few cafes and monuments, but not much there.

Next day we drove to Calais to catch our ferry home, once back in England we fought amongst the traffic around M25 and made our way to the Fancott Arms in Toddington, our pub stop before heading home.
