Last week we began work on the walking lunge and there was a lot to be addressed i.e. heal coming off the ground, chest collapsing at bottom of the lunge just to name a few. -
The intent of today's couplet was to build on some consistently better lunge mechanics with an ascending rep scheme of 4 reps. The players were set up for success with smaller rep scheme of 4 - 8 - 12 - 16 which built confidence as they stepped into the larger rep schemes of 20 and 24. -
It was a really fun team format were 1 works and 1 rests. So player 1 works and completes his 20 Star jump and 4 Walking lunge while player 2 rests, then they will switch. The workout ends at after both players have completed 20 star jumps and 24. -
both players would complete 120 star jumps and 84 walking lunges in total. -
