Mawa Malpua has its roots in traditional Indian sweets. Its original form, Malpua, is very ancient and is even mentioned in ancient texts. Over time, it has been further enriched by the addition of mawa (khoya).

Ingredients
For Mawa Batter
Mawa | मावा 250 gms
Refined flour | मैदा 1 cup
Semolina | सूजी 1 tbsp
Curd | दही 2 tbsp
Salt to taste | नमक स्वादअनुसार
Water | पानी ⅓ cup
Black peppercorns | काली मिर्च के दाने ½ tsp (crushed)
Fennel seeds, crushed | सौंफ ¼ tsp

For Rabdi
Milk | दूध 500 ml
Mawa | मावा 150-200 gms
Saffron | केसर A Few Strands
Sugar | चीनी ½ cup

For Sugar Syrup
Sugar | चीनी 2 cups
Water, पानी 1 cups
Green Cardamom | हरी इलायची 2-3 (crushed)

For Garnish
Prepared Rabdi | तैयार की हुई रबड़ी
Prepared Malpua | तैयार मालपुआ
Almonds | बादाम
Pistachios | पिस्ता
Rose petals | गुलाब की पंखुड़ियाँ
Fresh Mint sprig | पुदीने के पत्ते
