In this math tutorial our task is to solve for the values of x and y.
Here are a few key concepts used in solving the system of equations.
• Change of base :
logₐ(b) = logₖ(b) / logₖ(a)
where a, b, k 0 and a, k ≠ 1
•Step 2 : Let p = log₂(x + 2) and q = log₂(y + 10).
Step 3: Multiply equ 1 by 2 and equ 2 by 2.
Step 4: By method of substitution,solve for the value of p and q.
Step 5: Recall that Let p = log₂(x + 2) and q = log₂(y + 10) and substitute values of p and q to find the values of x and y.
