In this math tutorial our task is to find the values of x which satisfies the logarithmic equation.
To solve the problem,we will use a change of base to make the base of the R.H.S match the base of the log on the R.H.S.
By extracting logarithms to base 3 on both sides and combining the like terms and solving the quadratic equation 3x²+7x+2=0 to get the two values of x. We can also check if our solutions are correct by checking for extraneous solutions.
