This pie recipe is about getting the best out of the meat you put in to the savoury pies you make. Serve this pie with steamed broccoli and carrots, besides smoothly whipped mashed potatoes. Extra gravy is always welcome.
Ingredients For Rump Steak Pie
600 grams of trimmed rump steak
2 Sheets flaky puff pastry
1 tbsp rice bran oil
1/3 cup sparkling red grape juice
2 oxo low salt beef stock cubes
300 mls boiling water
1 and 1/2 tbsp gravy powder (Bisto or similar)
Egg wash for pie lids
