Being gay in a homophobic school is something a lot of people go through quietly, but rarely talk about openly. In this video, I share my honest experience of growing up closeted in high school, navigating bullying, rumours, and teachers who didn’t protect me.
I talk about being labeled and pressured before I was ready, learning to shrink myself for safety, and the long-term impact of an environment where simply existing felt dangerous.
This video isn’t about shaming anyone. It’s about sharing the lived experience of surviving a homophobic school, for anyone who has ever felt unseen, unsafe, or forced to edit themselves just to survive.
