Nearly four hundred corruption cases involving police are currently being investigated by various crime agencies. Briefing Parliament's Standing Committee on Public Accounts today,
SAPS management told MPs, transgressions are being committed by members across ranks. In October, a deputy police commissioner was suspended, after being arrested for her alleged involvement in corruption. The National Police Commissioner has acknowledged, that criminality among members is increasing.
