Dr. Ford-Brown earned her B.S. and M.A. at Indiana State University majoring in Speech Communication with minors in English, the Visual Arts, and Women Studies. She holds a PhD in Speech Communication from Southern Illinois University—Carbondale. Her teaching interest include: Introduction to Public Speaking, Communication Theory and Research, Intercultural Communication, Gender Communication, Introduction to Theatre, Performance Studies, Oral Interpretation, Advance Public Speaking and Persuasion, Interpersonal and Small Group Communication, as well as Understanding Human Communication.
