Here’s one of my favorite combos for rear loaders that Groot runs, complete with a set of Dayton’s as well! While these haven’t aged well cosmetically, they still run pretty decently and I’m sure they won't be going anywhere anytime soon. If you look closely, you can see that these used to be retrofitted with the original Quik-Tips. Those were taken off because the cart tipper was integrated with the kickbar, meaning that to tip carts you had to cycle the kickbar which made these far less efficient for residential routes and ultimately all but one of these LE Leach’s had the Quik Tips removed. However, there were a bunch of trucks down right around Christmas 2021 and even after bringing in rentals, they still didn’t have enough trucks so this was pulled from the back of the yard and put on the scattered multi-family home route. He started off on trash and then came back for recycling, which was how I found him coming back from the dump on the highway. This first section I recorded him in was two backdowns with tubbed recycling, and then after he did some townhomes with carts which I have posted a video of (linked below). Not the fastest paced video, but still cool to see one of these beasts chugging along. I hope you all enjoy the video!
