Being vs. nonbeing is a constant struggle for Soren Kierkegaard (Kierkegaard et al., 1983), according to the Danish philosopher. Creating our lives is a battle of attitude from the moment we become aware of our existence—to maintain hope, and to be courageous enough to live. For most people, living entails a lot of hard work, both physically and mentally. Some people have the good fortune to have everything ready for them when they need it. Similarly, some people are born with money; others are fortunate enough to stumble upon it, and still, others have to work hard from the beginning to get anywhere in life. In the end, it all boils down to how you were born into this world. Life can be stressful and difficult for some people. Someone's life was like that.
