Описание: The term "ancient Rome" is used in contemporary historiography to refer to the period of Roman civilization that spans from the establishment of the city of Rome in the 8th century B.C. to the fall of the Western Roman Empire in the 5th century AD. It includes the Roman Republic, the Roman Empire, and the Roman Kingdom up until the fall of the western empire. Ancient Romans were a people known for their military, political, and social institutions. They were also known for their conquest of vast swaths of land in Europe and northern Africa, as well as the construction of roads and aqueducts, and the widespread dissemination of Latin, their language. Middle school teachers can put these teaching materials to use to educate their students about the ancient Roman empire.
