Safari Express is a safari themed SBF Visa Group Rio Bravo train ride located at Crealy Theme Park & Resort. This gentle family attraction takes riders on a relaxed journey past colourful safari scenes and animal figures including lions, zebras, gorillas, and other wildlife. The themed train makes it a perfect first ride for younger guests while still being an enjoyable experience for the whole family. Its simple layout and classic design make Safari Express one of the park’s long standing family favourites.

To ride Safari Express, guests less than 90cm must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

Crealy Theme Park & Resort, located near Exeter in Devon, is home to over 60 rides and attractions including rollercoasters, family rides, indoor play areas, animal experiences, and live shows. Opened in 1989 and operated by Maximum Fun Devon Limited, Crealy has been voted Devon’s best day out for eight consecutive years and continues to be one of the South West’s leading family theme park destinations.

The park features two rollercoasters, Twister and the Maximus Coaster, alongside Tidal Wave log flume, Junior Driving School, Dino Jeeps, Flying Dutchman, and indoor attractions such as Adventure Zone and Jungle Journey. Sooty Land remains one of the most popular areas at Crealy, based on the iconic British television characters Sooty, Sweep, and Soo. Attractions in the land include Sooty’s Magic Bus, Sweep’s Flying Circus, Soo’s Sweet Balloon Ride, Izzy Wizzy Let’s Get Dizzy, and Sooty’s Big Top Showtime, along with the indoor pier building featuring themed attractions and dining.

Later in 2026, Crealy will introduce two major new rides. Pirate’s Plummet, formerly Magma at Paultons Park, is being rethemed to fit the pirate area and will become the tallest ride in the South West once open. Rotor, a Zamperla Air Race attraction with a steampunk theme, will add a new aerial ride experience to the park. As of March 2026, both rides remain under development with no confirmed opening date.

Crealy Resort offers on site accommodation including Luxury Hot Tub Lodges, Devon Hideaway Glamping, Safari Tents, Camping and Touring pitches, and Holiday Caravans, making it a popular short break destination for families visiting Devon.
