Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State recently visited a rice farm in Jangwa, Awe LGA. The farm is part of a 10,000 hectare project initiated by the state government to support the Federal Government's food security programme. During the visit, he expressed his satisfaction with the quality and quantity of the rice crop, which is expected to be harvested in about a month. Governor Sule also inspected the ongoing construction of the Ribi Jangwa road. The construction is an important infrastructure project under his administration.
Nasarawa state governor, Abdullahi Sule has highlighted the state's significant developmental strides over the past 28 years, attributing its creation to the vision and resilience of its founding fathers, during the launch of the book REVEALING NASARAWA AT 28 in Lafia. Governor Sule emphasized at the event that the state's creation was driven by the need for development and was not accidental.
Rivers State Police Command has uncovered all 23 Local Government Area Secretariats in the state following the election and swearing-in of new chairmen. This was disclosed in a statement released today by the Command’s spokesperson, Grace Iringe-Koko. She said the newly deployed Commissioner of Police, CP Mustapha Bala acting on the orders of the IGP, Kayode Egbetokun has ordered the immediate termination of all police personnel formerly deployed to seal and safeguard the council secretariats in the state. The secretariats were sealed in June following the disagreement between the Caretaker Committee Chairmen loyal to Governor Siminalayi Fubara and the immediate past local government chairmen, who were loyalists of Nyesom Wike, Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
