Manchester, England. 6x Escalator, 1x Travelator ride at Marks and Spencer (M&S) Store - Part 2

Описание: We take a POV ride on 1x Travelator and 5x (out of 9) escalators in Manchester City Centre’s Marks and Spencer (M&S) department store, with another 1x escalator up from the shared car park (6 in total in this video). They are all O&K / Kone RTV-T escalators built at the Keighley, England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 factory. The travelator is similar, being an ‘RSV-B-TE’. The lower floors ones were built in 1999 and they feature the O&K KONE branding used until 2000.

Strangely enough, the upper (2nd) floor was actually added after the store’s opening, those escalators were built in 2001 so they feature just the newer Kone logo. They’re all the same type, and the same thing was done in the adjoining Selfridges store (the top floor was added in 2001/2)- it’s in the same main building…

**There’s 18 escalators in total - 8 in Selfridges, 9 in M&S and 1 shared one up from the basement car park. There’s also 1 travelator, from M&S to the basement car park…

This video was taken about 20 minutes before closing time on a typical weekday. These stores get incredibly busy most of the time. However, despite being 25 years old, these escalators look and run absolutely perfectly and sound brilliant. They are really well made and have been maintained properly too. 👍
