This pregnancy-safe Yoga Nidra practice is designed to support deep rest, nervous system regulation, and conscious connection during pregnancy. Yoga Nidra invites the body into a state of profound relaxation while awareness remains gently present — a state that supports restoration, emotional resilience, and inner safety during this transformative time.
Within this practice, you will be guided to form a sankalpa — a heartfelt intention or resolve. In the tantric tradition, sankalpa is most potent when the mind is relaxed and receptive, allowing intention to arise from a deeper layer of being rather than effort or force.
This practice is informed by the tantric concept of spanda — the subtle pulsation or intelligent movement of life itself. Spanda is the quiet, living vibration that underlies breath, sensation, emotion, and growth. During pregnancy, attuning to spanda can support a sense of trust in the body’s innate wisdom and the unfolding of life within.
This session is suitable for all stages of pregnancy. You are encouraged to rest in any position that feels supportive, including side-lying or with props.
