Israel was once married to God. In the days of Jeroboam, Israel divided into two; the ten northern tribes forming the kingdom of Israel and the southern tribes forming the kingdom of Judah. When the kingdom of Israel went awhoring after other gods, and forgetting his name, God divorced her by scattering them abroad throughout the world. However, for the kingdom of Judah, due to their sins, God separated from her. So the kingdom of Judah could always return back to her husband (GOD). God does not hate divorce, what he hates is putting away without a bill of divorcement
To gain the kingdom of Israel back to himself again, Jesus had to resurrect from the dead in the order of the second Man -A new man-so that all Israel could be married to her husband once more.
