Infantile epilepsy, also known as infantile spasms, is a seizure disorder that requires a comprehensive evaluation involving medical history, physical examination, and diagnostic tests. A medical history is obtained from the parents or caregivers, focusing on the description of seizure episodes, their frequency, duration, and any associated symptoms. Physical examination helps identify any neurological abnormalities that may suggest an underlying cause of seizures.
