About Sarod Artiste Debanjan Bhattacharjee :

Debanjan Bhattacharjee is a President's Gold Medal Award winning Indian Classical Sarod Artiste from Kolkata, India. Academically, Debanjan is a Post-graduate Engineer in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering from Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology, IIEST Shibpur.

Debanjan has performed more than 600 solo classical concerts in over 110 Cities of the world, across 18 Countries. Debanjan has gained worldwide recognition for his pioneering work and brainchild - "Dhrupad Sarod" with solely Pakhawaj on accompaniment, which Debanjan was invited to perform in front of the hon'ble Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi. Debanjan is well known for his expertise on Rare Ragas and Rare and Fractional Taals.

Apart from Classical Music, Debanjan has also gained global popularity for playing Instrumental Rabindra Sangeet, Mahalaya Mahishasura Mardini Songs, Shyama Sangeet, Classic Bollywood and other genres.
