Raga Bhairava is an ancient and important raga of Indian classical music. It is sung and played in the morning and creates a serious, devotional, fresh and calm atmosphere.
In this raag the komal Rishabh (Re) and komal Dhaivat (Dha) notes and vibrations on these notes are prominent; it is the parent raga of 'Bhairav Thaat' and is also called 'Adi Raga', which reflects the image of Lord Shiva and is considered very important for riyaaz (practice).
