The following are some of the reasons why the dishwasher does not heat water:
• A faulty heating element
• A problem with the thermostat
• Clogged spray arms and filters

Here is how to fix these issues;
Replace the heating element
• Access the element from beneath the dishwasher and check for damages.
• You will need a multimeter to test its resistance.
• The resistance should be 15 10 30 0hms. If the ohm is above, the element is faulty, and you must replace it.
• Since the heating element is a significant component of the dishwasher, you will have to get a service engineer to replace the component correctly.
• Unplug the dishwasher, and don't use it until it's repaired.

Replace the thermostat
If the thermostat is faulty, the dishwasher will not maintain the water to the required temperatures.
• First, check the dishwasher's temperature by running a hot water tap from your sink to ensure the water flowing into the dishwasher is hot.
• Access the thermostat beneath the dishwasher and test its continuity using a multimeter.
• You will need to replace the thermostat if the continuity test fails.

Cleaning spray arms and filters
• Consult your dishwasher manual to detach the spray arm and filters.
• Clean the components using water and vinegar to remove the stubborn debris.
