This is Part Two of a six part series, simulating the entire Super Bowl era. We go through the entire regular season, playoffs, and Super Bowl. This will be done ten seasons at a time. Part two will include Super Bowls 11-20 from 1976 through 1985.

The season leaders in various individual categories were meant to be included as well, but they created unnecessary bloat and hurt the flow of the video. These results have been made into an accompanying short, which can be accessed here:    • NFL Throwback: Season Leaders 1976-1985 #s...  

ALL C-Scores for every team will be revealed. Additionally, C-Scores from the simulated seasons were tracked and will also be revealed.

Here is the more complete breakdown about how all of this works:

All simulations are done on Tecmo Super Bowl III for the Super Nintendo. The game has been modded to fit the season in question. Players' names and attributes were the main focus of the mods. Jersey numbers, skin tones, and listed positions may not always be accurate.

There are some aspects of the game that cannot be controlled, preventing certain seasons from being completely 100% authentic:
-Overtime is strictly sudden death, the quarter length is the same as every other quarter.
-The two-point conversion is universal and available for use at all times.
-Extra points are always snapped from the two-yard line, resulting in twenty-yard attempts.
-Goalposts are always at the back of the end zone.
-Missed field goals are always placed at the spot of the missed kick or the twenty-yard line, whichever most benefits the team taking possession.
-All kickoffs take place from the thirty-yard line, formations are all the same, and the onside kick is available at all times without declaration.

**There may be more things not included herein, but these are the big ones.**

There are other aspects that we can control, or at least are not hindered by:
-Divisions, advancement to the playoffs, and playoff placement will be accurate to the season in question.
-All games simulated before 1974 will not include any overtime periods. Games that end regulation tied will simply be counted as ties. This of course only affects Part One of the series.
-Our results do not change history going forward. They will (potentially) rewrite history for the season in question, but it will not lead to future changes including but not limited to player movement, coaching movement, draft position, and future schedules.
FOR EXAMPLE: The New England Patriots can go 0-16 every season between 2000-2018, but Tom Brady and Bill Belichick will return to their position the following season every time.)
-Rosters and starting lineups are constructed based on primary players for the season in question as injuries will not be predetermined.
FOR EXAMPLE: Phil Simms is the starting quarterback for the New Giants in 1990 instead of Jeff Hostetler. Even though Simms missed the playoffs and the Super Bowl, he was the starter for the majority of the season. Another example is Carson Wentz remaining the starter for the Philadelphia Eagles in 2017 over Nick Foles for the exact same reason.
-Injuries are part of the resim just as they are part of real life. A banged up player one season can be fully healthy here. A fully healthy player could suffer injuries here. Again, injuries are not predetermined for those who make it to the roster.
-Anything can happen!!!

Explanation of C-Score:

C-Score is a metric created by this channel to assign an overall value to a football team. It takes a team's:

-Results, including standard and Pythagorean W-L record
-Performance, including game control and play-by-play production
-Quality of opponents, specifically performance level against opponents

and distills all of that into one cumulative and comparative score reflecting the context of the season in question. When applicable, a team's playoff performance is also included.

A C-Score of 0 represents an average football team, whereas anything above 0 represents an above average team and anything below 0 represents a below average team.

A team's record is important, but not always indicative of C-Score. An 11-5 team can rate higher than a 13-3 team or lower than a 9-7 team. Not all records are created equally.
