Speaking to reporters before the Security Council, Slovenian Foreign Minister Tanja Fajon underscored the importance of press freedom in this conflict. “It’s extremely urgent that journalists can reach the conflict zones to have proper and credible reporting, but also that they are safe,” Fajon said, adding, “We lost too many journalists and humanitarian workers during this conflict and the war in Gaza. My call is also to Israeli authorities to allow the freedom of speech, to allow journalists to work without any limitations in secure space.”
