Here we run through the new, hot off the press, climbing gear from Petzl. Most of this is available as of July 1 with the exception of the Sirocco in White which will be coming in a month or so.
Sirocco: Lightest UIAA rated helmet on the market
Sum Tec: Technical alpinism generalist
Gully: LW third tool, alpine piton hammer, Technical ski touring axe, and a go-to for cutting edge alpine climbing where a few grams means a lot.
SM'D: among the lightest of locking carabiners but with more versatility with the increased 'working surface'. You can even get away with using this with an Italian hitch, in a pinch.
