Parco delle Acque Minerali or The Mineral Water Park serves as Imola's historic green lung. Although it is best recognized for its recreational and sporting functions, it also has significant botanical and historical value.
It is located in the city center and is currently completely surrounded by the "Enzo e Dino Ferrari" racetrack. It began with Dr. Gioacchino Cerchiari's discovery of the medicinal sulphurous water springs in 1830, which made the location instantly popular.
