If you like the idea of pretty storage, this basket is for you! The design is inspired by one of my previous patterns, the Divide and Organise Basket, but this time the divided sections are fully separate, meaning you can store smaller items without them sliding under the dividers. The matching plain basket uses the same outer pieces and binding, but has different interior pieces.
• Both baskets are made with fusible fleece and fusible interfacing inside
• The pattern has separate pieces for some of the interfacing, to cut bulk in the centre and make for a smooth finish to the interior base
• The segments are fully sewn into the dividers, so that there are no gaps
• The pattern pieces use dots and notches to show you exactly where to sew
• In the video, I demonstrate how to ease the basket side into the round base without needing to use lots of clips or pins
• The binding is finished with a decorative running stitch using a pretty embroidery floss
Finished size: approx. 6¼” diameter x 3” high
The PDF comes as two separate files. The first contains a simple, six-step tutorial with fifteen photos, enhanced with graphics to make it clearer to understand. The second file contains the pattern pieces, ready for you to cut out and use. All sizes are in inches.
INCLUDED:
• A list of all the materials and quantities you need to complete both projects
• Cutting layouts for all fabrics
• Instructions on how to cut and prepare the fabrics
