Do you find that all of the best lunch bags in your house have cartoon characters on, and not the ones you love (sorry, Angry Birds, but you are not my choice!)? This Lovely Lunch Bag is designed for you to make, so that your lunch bag will be perfect for you!
• This lunch bag is inspired by the shape of a carton, so there are no zips to fiddle with
• The square shape is created by hidden stitching on the foam
• Hook and loop tape is used for the closure
• There are strategic pieces of stiffener inside, to help with the structure
• The lining has a layer of thermal batting, for added insulation
• There is a removable carry handle, but this bag would also be great with a long strap
Style 1 is a straightforward carton shape, and is very quick to sew, once you have cut out all of the pieces.
Style 2 has a bottle holder on one side, finished with a double-holed spring toggle and cord, to keep your bottle in place.
Finished sizes (approx.)
Style 1 - 7” wide x 9” high x 5” deep
Style 2 - 10½” wide x 9” high x 5” deep
As with my other patterns, there are dots, notches and stitching lines to make it easy to get a great finish.
During the video, I mention a video tutorial showing you how I prepare my foam stabiliser. You can watch it here:
