Lecture Summary:
The United States has a unique, and uniquely chaotic, system for paying for health care. Many different entities pay for care, including the federal government, private citizens, and employers. There is rationing, both based on need and who has money. This presentation will explain how this financing and rationing system is structured. At the end there will be a brief description of the changes coming next year under a law passed by the Trump administration.
