SHORT SUMMARY
Elias Kern, a water treatment technician, gets trapped in a floating pump house 200 yards offshore during the zombie apocalypse. For eight weeks, he survives alone by jury-rigging a water boiler from electrical parts and catching fish with a forgotten hand-line, while three infected block his escape on the catwalk.
He's rescued by boat in September and brought to Clearwater, a 30-person survivor camp. Though he struggles with isolation after living alone, Elias becomes valuable for his fishing skills and resourcefulness.
Over two years, he helps the settlement survive supply shortages, infected attacks, and a massive horde of thousands. He risks his life to blow up a bridge and redirect the horde, saving the camp.
By year five, Clearwater grows to 70 people. Elias transforms from a solitary survivor into a community leader who teaches others, learning that true survival comes from working together rather than enduring alone.
