May 20, 2025 | San Diego, CA — A motorcyclist led San Diego police on a brief pursuit Tuesday night that ended in a crash near the intersection of Arizona Street and Meade Avenue in the North Park area.
The incident began around 8:43 p.m. when officers attempted to pull over the rider for a traffic violation. Within minutes, the motorcycle crashed, drawing the attention of nearby residents.
“It sounded so loud,” said one neighbor. “I can’t believe he didn’t get injured when he flipped over.”
Despite the dramatic crash, the rider declined medical attention. He was taken into custody at the scene and later booked into jail for felony evasion.
No other vehicles were involved in the crash, and the investigation is ongoing, according to the San Diego Police Department.
