San Diego, CA – March 30, 2025 – A high-speed police pursuit ended in a crash late Sunday night, leaving multiple individuals injured and two suspects still on the run.
According to authorities, units attempted to conduct a traffic stop near Main Street and Sicard Street for a moving violation. However, the driver refused to comply, leading officers on a brief pursuit. Just two minutes later, the fleeing vehicle crashed into a tree near the intersection of Kearny Avenue and Sampson Street.
Officers immediately took the driver and two other passengers into custody. However, witnesses at the scene stated that a man found next to the vehicle may not have been involved in the pursuit itself. Meanwhile, two additional occupants fled on foot and remain outstanding.
Emergency medical services were dispatched to the scene to evaluate and treat the injured individuals. The San Diego Police Department (SDPD) has launched an investigation into the incident and is actively searching for the remaining suspects.
