Day 5 on ICON OF THE SEAS - Skipping St. Thomas to Ride Only ONE Slide...Not What We Planned

Описание: Join us as we embark on ‪@RoyalCaribbean‬'s Icon of the Seas out of the Port of Miami for a 7-night Eastern Caribbean Cruise. This was for Spring Break 2024 and we left on March 23, 2024.

This vlog covers our second port day on the cruise which was St. Thomas. We had visited St. Thomas last year and the all aboard time was 1:30pm, so we decided to skip the port all together and use this time to visit Thrill Island Waterpark and ride the slides with, hopefully, less crowds. This would have been a brilliant plan EXCEPT that most of the slides were closed. This was NOT announced in the app. In fact the app, stated the waterpark was open. They did open Storm Surge, one of the family raft slides at 11:00am and we waited over an hour to ride it. After that, Rider said it wasn't worth it and he wanted to go to the pool, so that is what we did.

We also ate lunch at El Loco Fresh, which was excellant and then had a drink at Swim & Tonic, the swim-up bar, before calling it a day and heading back to our stateroom for a family nap. Not the day we had intended, but we made the most of it.
