Night 1 on ICON OF THE SEAS - My Time Dining, Aqua Action & Midnight Balloon Drop

Описание: Join us as we embark on the‪@RoyalCaribbean‬ Icon of the Seas out of the Port of Miami for a 7-night Eastern Caribbean Cruise. This was for Spring Break 2024 and we left on March 23, 2024.

This vlog covers our first night of our cruise. We had My Time Dining and on this evening our MTD reservation time was at 9pm, but we were able to be seated at 8:30pm. Our servers, Sandesh & Richelle were amazing. I had the Grilled Chicken Breast (a Royal Classic) and Ray had the Aromatic Chicken Saag. Both were fantastic.

After dinner, we picked up Rider at Adventure Ocean and went to the Aquadome for the show "Aqua Action". This show was amazing. We were able to find seats near the front, but did get a little wet. We chose this late show, so it would be easier to stay up late for the Midnight Balloon Drop on the Royal Promenade.

After returning to our room at 12:20am, our son's bed was not made. While this was a miscommunication with our room steward (and not her fault), Housekeeping was extremely unhelpful and downright rude. I had to call Guest Services three times in order to have someone come to our room to set up our son's bed. Turns out, we SHOULD have had extra bedding for his bed under our bed, however, we did not. We didn't receive the bedding for him until almost 2am. I will discuss more about this in my recap.

All in all, despite this issue, we had a great first day and night.
