We are firmly under a broad ridge of high pressure, bringing mild days for January- unseasonably warm, dry and stable. Today’s warm temps were a standout, but even as cooler air slides in later this week, there’s still no real threat of precipitation. Aside from a few mountain sprinkles late Thursday, we’re looking at a mellow stretch — cold mornings, pleasant afternoons and no big changes anytime soon.
This dry pattern sticks around through the weekend and into early next week. Expect some in-and-out clouds, cooler temperatures and continued chilly mornings. Highs will return to the 40s with some 50s and lows dip back into the 20s. No big systems on the horizon, but a stray shower could sneak into the mountains at times.
