Welcome back to What’s For Tea :) Today I made a Black Forrest loaf cake :) Super easy and absolutely delicious. Dead festive too!

What I used (serves 6-8) 1.5kg loaf tin

175g (6 oz) Unsalted butter - cubed
75g (2.6 oz) Dark chocolate - broken up
300g (10.5 oz) Self raising flour
30g (1 oz) Cocoa powder
250g (9 oz) Caster sugar
2 Medium free range eggs
250ml (8.7 floz) Whole milk
425g (15 oz) Tin black cherries in syrup
400ml (13.5 floz) Double/whipping cream
Dash of flavouring (optional)
1 Tablespoon Icing/powdered sugar
Flaked almonds (optional)
