This is a sneak peek into the talk which will be on Metal-organic frameworks or MOFs which is a porous sponge-like material that was initially made at the University of Calgary, Canada with Prof. Vaidhyanathan as one of the investigators during his postdoctoral days. That MOF was then modified and scaled up such that tonnes of CO2 can be captured by the new MOF under humid conditions and its ability to be rendered as adsorption technology shows that it can be used in the removal of CO2 from steel, cement, beer distillery, etc.
