She is an artist, a budding poet, and a dreamer; she is here today to enlighten us with the beauty of her thoughts and to take us on a journey depicting the horrors of abuse but also the mesmerising process of self-healing that follows. Kashish Khalid is here to remind us that even in the midst of our own chaos we are never alone.
Before she became fire, she was water. Quenching the thirst of every dying creature. She gave and she gave until she turned from sea to desert but instead of dying of the heat, the sadness, the heartache, she took all of her pain and from her own ashes, became fire. She is a little girl with big dreams.
