City Toronto Breakfast Television Montage (February 2, 2022)

Описание: A montage of different moments and segments from City Toronto's (CITY-DT) long-running morning show Breakfast Television. Breakfast Television has long been Toronto's #1 morning show and has since expanded to be aired nationally from 8:30am-10am ET on City stations across Canada. The show is hosted by Dina Pugliese and Sid Seixerio, with Melanie Ng on news, Frank Ferragine on weather, Tammie Sutherland in the field, Stephanie Henry on traffic, and Devo Brown with sports and entertainment.

BT is known for its upbeat feel with energetic and personable hosts, with less of a news focus than its counterparts on Global and CP24. They run a contest called "I Wake Up with BT" which gives away at least $1000 every day.

Breakfast Television launched a new graphics package in late 2021 alongside new graphics for CityNews. I like the general aesthetic of them, but the lower-thirds bother me somewhat. The font doesn't look great in sentence case and the animations are too slow, but it's an otherwise nice looking package.

Breakfast Television previously aired local versions across the country, but the three remaining in Vancouver, Calgary, and Montreal were cancelled in 2020, leaving only the Toronto original behind.

I unfortunately did not get to capture the 6:00am opening, so I substituted the 7:00am one.
