Bal Spring® for High Force Latching

Описание: In applications requiring the mating and removal of parts at higher forces, the Bal Spring® canted coil spring offers many advantages over clips, pins, ball detents, and other technologies. The simple, robust spring gives engineers the ability to “dial in” the forces needed to latch and separate equipment components (to more than 10,000 lb, in some cases), and it delivers consistent, reliable latching performance over multiple service cycles in a broad range of conditions. What's more, the spring's ability to act as an excellent electrical contact element can be leveraged to reduce design complexity and weight.
