It wasn't a retreat; it was the birth of an empire. When the tyrants of Mecca united to extinguish the light of Islam, the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and his most loyal companion, Abu Bakr, embarked on the most dangerous and legendary journey in history: The Hijrah (The Migration).

With assassins tracking their every footstep, they took refuge in the Cave of Thawr. The enemy stood right outside, heavily armed and thirsty for blood. Yet, they were blinded by the most fragile of shields: a simple spider's web and a resting dove. When Abu Bakr whispered in fear, "If they just look down, they will see us," the Prophet replied with absolute certainty: "Do not grieve; indeed, Allah is with us."

🔥 THE TALE OF THE HIJRAH (Lyrics & English Translation):

بَكَتِ الْبِطَاحُ لِفَقْدِهِ - وَالرَّمْلُ فَاضَ تَحَسُّرَا
The valleys of Mecca wept for his departure, and the sands overflowed with sorrow.

يَمْضِي النَّبِيُّ مُهَاجِرًا - يَبْغِي الْمَدِينَةَ مَهْجَرَا
The Prophet marches on as an emigrant, seeking Medina as his sanctuary.

فِي غَارِ ثَوْرٍ قَدْ لَجَا - وَالصَّحْبُ بَاتَ مُحَذِّرَا
He took refuge in the Cave of Thawr, while his companion stayed watchful through the night.

نَسَجَ الْعَنَاكِبُ خَيْطَهَا - سِتْراً كَثِيفاً أَبْهَرَا
The spiders wove their threads, creating an astounding and impenetrable veil.

وَحَمَامَةٌ رَقَدَتْ هُنَا - فِي الْغَارِ تَحْرُسُ أَطْهَرَا
And a dove nested right there at the cave, guarding the purest of souls.

وَالْمُشْرِكُونَ بِجَهْلِهِمْ - وَقَفُوا هُنَاكَ تَحَيُّرَا
Meanwhile, the polytheists in their ignorance stood there bewildered and lost.

قَالَ الرَّفِيقُ بِدَمْعَةٍ - يَخْشَى الْعِدَا أَنْ يَظْهَرَا
The companion spoke through his tears, fearing the enemy might discover them.

لَا تَحْزَنَنْ إِنَّ الَّذِي - خَلَقَ الْوُجُودَ تَنَظَّرَا
"Do not grieve, for indeed the One who created all existence is watching over us."

خَابُوا وَعَادُوا خُيَّبًا - وَاللَّهُ يَنْصُرُ مَنْ سَرَى
They failed and returned empty-handed, for Allah grants victory to the one who journeys in His path.

سَلَكُوا الرِّمَالَ بِحَرِّهَا - وَالشَّمْسُ تَلْفَحُ فِي الْقُرَى
They crossed the burning sands, while the blazing sun scorched the settlements.

خَيْلُ ابْنِ مَالِكٍ انْكَفَتْ - فِي الرَّمْلِ غَاصَتْ تَأَخُّرَا
The steed of Ibn Malik stumbled, sinking deep into the sand and falling behind.

نَادَى الْأَمَانَ مُسَلِّمًا - وَمُصَدِّقًا مَا قَدْ يَرَى
He called out for safety, surrendering and testifying to the miracle he beheld.

يَا يَثْرِبَ الْأَنْصَارِ هَلْ - جَاءَ الْبَشِيرُ مُبَشِّرَا
O Yathrib of the Ansar, tell us, has the bearer of glad tidings arrived?

يَقِفُونَ فِي حَرِّ الضُّحَى - شَوْقاً لِمَنْ وَطِئَ الثَّرَى
They stand in the scorching mid-day heat, yearning for the one who graces their soil.

حَتَّى تَبَدَّى نُورُهُ - يَمْحُو الظَّلَامَ الْمُدْبِرَا
Until his radiant light appeared, wiping away the retreating darkness.

صَرَخَ الْجَمِيعُ مُكَبِّرًا - حِينَ النَّبِيُّ تَصَدَّرَا
The crowd roared with Takbeer (Allahu Akbar) as the Prophet came into view.

بَدْرٌ أَضَاءَ سَمَاءَهَا - غَسَلَ الْقُلُوبَ وَأَزْهَرَا
A full moon illuminated their sky, cleansing their hearts and making them bloom.

زَالَ الْفِرَاقُ وَحُزْنُهُ - فَالشَّمْلُ جُمِّعَ وَانْبَرَى
The sorrow of separation vanished; the scattered flock was united and surged forward.

دَارُ السَّلَامِ تَعَانَقَتْ - وَالْحُبُّ فِيهَا قَدْ جَرَى
The Abode of Peace (Medina) embraced itself, and love flowed freely within it.

آخَى النَّبِيُّ صَحَابَةً - فَالْحُبُّ طَابَ وَأَثْمَرَا
The Prophet forged brotherhood among the companions, so love flourished and bore fruit.

بَنَوُا الْمَسَاجِدَ بِالتُّقَى - وَالنُّورُ فِيهَا قَدْ سَرَى
They built the mosques upon piety, and divine light spread within them.

طَابَتْ مَدِينَتُهُ الَّتِي - ضَمَّتْ مَقَاماً أَنْوَرَا
How sweet is his city, which now embraces the most luminous of resting places.

وَسُيُوفُهُمْ تَبْغِي الرِّضَا - لَا تَرْهَبُونَ تَجَبُّرَا
Their swords seek only His pleasure, fearing no tyrant's arrogance.

صَوْتُ الْأَذَانِ مُجَلْجِلٌ - يَدْعُو النُّفُوسَ لِتَطْهُرَا
The sound of the call to prayer resounds loudly, calling souls to purification.

وَالْمُشْرِكُونَ بِغَيْظِهِمْ - ذَاقُوا الْهَوَانَ تَصَاغُرَا
While the polytheists, choking on their rage, tasted humiliation and belittlement.

جِيلٌ يُسَلِّمُ رَايَةً - لِلْحَقِّ يَمْضِي قَسْوَرَا
A generation passing the banner, marching for the truth like fearless lions.

بَذَلُوا الدِّمَاءَ رَخِيصَةً - لِلدِّينِ جُنْداً كُبَّرَا
They offered their blood eagerly, as a formidable army for the faith.

مَأْوَى الْغَرِيبِ وَدَارُهُ - مَنْ نَالَ فِيهَا الْكَوْثَرَا
It is the refuge and home of the stranger; blessed is the one who attains the abundance within it.

يَا رَبِّ صَلِّ عَلَى الَّذِي - بِالْحَقِّ جَاءَ مُنَوِّرَا
O Lord, send Your blessings upon the one who came with the truth, radiating light.
