Our second Beyond the Barrier film, Sisters' Dialogue.
This film follows a grassroots Edmonton organization founded by Muslim women to create culturally safe spaces for Muslim women and girls. Through healing circles, art therapy, workshops, and community events, the film shows their work fostering resilience and solidarity in the face of Islamophobia and gender-based violence. By sharing personal stories and community-led initiatives, it highlights the importance of inclusive spaces that honor the diverse experiences of Muslim women.
This film was developed with AHC’s Youth Task Team member Sonia Islam and brought to life in collaboration with the MacEwan Communication Studios Production team, led by Kelsie Johnston.
