I like to have the ladies in my group work on keeping their ribcage stacked over their pelvis, even during everyday activities. This can help tremendously in reducing stress on your linea alba, allowing your Diastasis to have a better chance at healing. Too much stress on the fascia can contribute to making it more difficult to heal a Diastasis, just like too little stress can hinder healing as well.
Try making everything a core exercise to help improve diastasis healing. You can turn all of these everyday activities into an exercise to help reduce stress on your fascia, increase stress on the muscles and improve your Diastasis.
Opening and closing doors
Washing your hair
Putting away dishes
Standing at the park
Scrubbing the floor
Hinging to pick up kids or toys off the floor
