Hello My Beautiful People! Welcome back to another gorgeous day in my garden studio! In my last video, Edgy Experiment, I was playing with creating interest around the perimeter by doing a ribbon pour on the canvas first, and then doing a straight pour for the center that I wanted. I learned a lot from that pour, and today I am refining that technique. I am not using a different color palette for the straight pour, and I am correcting where I place the ribbons around the perimeter. Lets get started!

I am using a 24x24 inch gallery wrapped canvas from Artist Loft.

I like what happens around the edges, there are gorgeous cells popping up. Interestingly the first ribbon pour is more like a straight pour complete with fingerlings.. thats what created the really cool cells. Pouring faster gives the ribbon pour with no fingerlings.

I like most of the straight pour, except for the more solid part. I tilt that off, but it also takes some of my ribbons with it. Next time I will use less paint in the straight pour in the center, so that I wont have to tilt the perimeter ribbons off. I really love the center, there is an area that looks like its glowing.
I am happy with the outcome of this experiment, and have another idea I want to try out with these Perimeter Pours. They are really interesting and fun to do, I encourage you to give it a try and let me know how it goes!
