The 1st International Aphorism Conference, “Magnum in Parvo” (“Greatness in Smallness”), is the world’s first global gathering devoted exclusively to the art and study of aphorisms.

Founded by Polish writer Andrzej Majewski, the historic event unites leading aphorists, writers, and scholars from across the world—Poland, USA, Germany, Italy, Serbia, Croatia, Israel, Canada, Finland, North Macedonia, Romania, and Bulgaria—to celebrate concise thought and wisdom literature.

About the speaker:

Yahia Lababidi is the author of twelve books of poetry and prose, including Palestine Wail (Daraja Press, 2024) and On the Contrary: Nietzsche & Wilde (2025). His work has appeared in World Literature Today, The New Arab, Spirituality & Health, PBS, and NPR.
