Custom Engineering: Why Creative Automation is Built to Last
Since the 1970s, Creative Automation has been a leader in robotics and woodworking automation. In this video, we go behind the scenes to show you how our engineering team approaches every project with a "customer-first" mindset.
Unlike many manufacturers who offer "cookie-cutter" designs, we build machinery tailored to your specific part drawings, floor layouts, and production goals. If your building has unique structural constraints or your process requires a one-of-a-kind solution, we adapt to you—not the other way around.
Engineering is at the core of what we deliver. Each piece of machinery from Creative Automation is made to purposefully solve the specific needs of the customer. Our complete customization is unique in the manufacturing industry. Contact us today.

Engineering: At the Center of Everything We Do transcript:
0:00: Creative automation has been at the forefront of robotics and automation since the 1970s.
0:06: Engineering at Creative Automation is unique for a variety of reasons.
0:10: First, the wide breadth of automation we've provided the woodworking industry over 50 years.
0:16: Very few companies, if any, can match our experience.
0:19: The fact that we build custom automation and always tailor our solutions to exactly what the customer needs.
0:25: Engineering at Creative Automation focuses on the customer's specific needs.
0:33: We ask them to send us part drawings, the specs of each part that they're hoping to run on a line or on a machine.
0:41: We really get to work developing a machine, developing a layout, and we build machinery to do what they need as opposed to having preset designs that we then try to fit in the customer's plan.
0:58: One of the most important concepts we teach incoming engineers is to always design with the end user in mind, whether it's mechanical or electrical design.
1:08: It's critical to think about how operators and maintenance technicians will interact with that equipment.
1:13: We engineer solutions as iif we're going to be the recipient machinery. Intuitive to run, easy to maintain, easy to adjust.
1:21: Our machines are engineered to run for decades.
1:24: We have rugged framework and our machines are designed to be rebuildable indefinitely.
1:31: We don't make cookie-cutter machines.
1:32: Each machine is completely different.
1:35: We adapt to what the customer wants right down to structures in the building.
1:39: We adapt to that.
1:40: We work with those customers.
1:41: We test everything here.
1:43: And once we're done here, we're sure that when it hits the customer, it's going to be what they want no matter what.
1:49: Some of the equipment we installed in the 1970s is still in service today, which I think speaks very well to the strength of our design.
1:58: Our customers get what they want, not what we deem is acceptable to them, where it's not cookie-cutter.
2:07: If they need something specific for their building or their needs, that's what they get.
