Hi everyone, merry christmas!
Looking for a holiday recipe, perfect for gatherings, gifts or any occasion? Then this is the recipe for you!
Buttery, soft and delicious, these thumbprint cookies are both delicious and aesthetic!
These cookies are also super customisable in shape, if you have pretty cookie cutters like shown in the video, you can use them to make more complex indents for filling! If not, you can use your thumbs to make simple indents, or use cookie cutters of the same shape but different sizes to make “sandwich”!

Here are the ingredients:
2 cups unsalted butter, softened
2/3 cup sugar
2/3 cup light brown sugar, firmly packed
2 large egg yolks
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
4 ½ cups flour
1 Tablespoon + 1 teaspoon cornstarch
1 teaspoon salt
2/3 cup preserves (flavors of your choice)
^ preserves are more flavourful and better texture wise than jam, try this recipe for my homemade version: • Homemade cranberry jam!
