Ringneck doves are almost naturally tame and it does not take long to gain their trust.
I like picking up my youngsters and begin the bonding process early. I have owned the parents of these chicks for years and they trust me with their young.
Taming a dove or any pet bird is really about gaining trust and that takes patience. Make sure you always move slow and talk soft and keep the handling to a few minutes.
Once they are eating on their own you can use the seed or a treat to coax them onto your hand. Just be patient and you will be rewarded.
