This breathing technique is perfect for those who find it difficult to focus. The holding of the breath places you in a suspension that pulls you into the moment.
Note: If you suffer from deep anxiety then do NOT hold the breath. Just inhale to the count of 4 and exhale to the count of 4. Slowly you can begin to hold the breath for 1 count, and when you are comfortable with this, then hold the breath for 2 counts etc. Slowly build up the hold count to 4.
Tip: keep the rhythm of each breath consistent. Resist the urge to make your pace faster at challenges times.
